Super Eagles of Nigeria goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali has lost his father. The goalkeeper announced this on Instagram on Friday, November 15, posting a heartfelt message alongside a tearful emoji.The shot stopper posted “Rest in peace, dad,” on his Instagram.

Stanley Nwabali was in goal for the Super Eagles in Thursday’s 1-1 draw against Benin Republic, on matchday 5 of the AFCON 2025 qualifiers.He conceded his first goal in the qualifiers after Mohamed Tijani header from a cross slipped past him.
Nigeria had already qualified before the game though after Libya beat Rwanda 1-0 in Kigali.Stanley Nwabali is likely to miss the last qualifying game come Monday. Udinese goalkeeper Maduka Okoye may take his place in goal.
Many of his team mates has been sending their condolences to him as they remind him they are all behind him. Nigerians are also backing the goalkeeper as they send their condolences to him too.
