Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has launched a public critique of social media personality Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman (VDM).
In a series of detailed statements, she attributed his contentious behavior to a challenging childhood marred by emotional neglect and instability.
Iyabo claimed that VDM’s upbringing lacked a nurturing environment, with his mother allegedly failing to provide adequate love and care.
She suggested this emotional void fueled his alleged manipulative and combative nature, directing his unresolved anger towards successful individuals.
“I’ve gained a deeper understanding of your behavior, and it’s quite sad,” Iyabo stated. “Your toxic narcissistic behavior is a result of a childhood without love or stability. Your parents, especially your mother, failed you, and now you project your frustrations onto others.”
In her critique, Iyabo delved into specific incidents from VDM’s past, including his struggles to survive, citing instances of theft during his youth. She questioned why his mother allowed such circumstances to occur, suggesting that a lack of parental responsibility forced him into these desperate actions.
“You had to fend for yourself by stealing potatoes and chickens to survive. Why would your mother allow that? Why didn’t she address the root cause?” Iyabo asked.
Iyabo also accused VDM of using public figures as targets to gain online relevance, claiming that his obsession with her and other successful personalities stems from misplaced anger.
“Your obsession with me tells me that my name lives rent-free in your head. This hostility isn’t about us but about unresolved issues with your family,” she emphasized.
She concluded her remarks with a message urging VDM to seek peace by addressing his internal struggles and forgiving his parents. “Free your heart from hate by forgiving your parents. Only then can you find peace,” Iyabo advised.
