Following Arsenal’s 0-0 draw with struggling Everton, fans have said the North London club is not yet ready for a trophy. They missed the chance to close the gap on leaders Liverpool. Liverpool which played a 2-2 draw with Fulham will be happy as their gap is still high.
Arsenal was frustrated with struggling Everton in front of their fans. It was a game the Gunners failed to create meaningful scoring chances thanks to Everton’s disciplined defense.
Arsenal’s best chance of the game fell to Martin Odegaard in the first half but he could not beat Jordan Pickford from close range. Efforts to try and conjure something from corners was also snuffed out by the Everton defense.
The draw means Arsenal are in third place on 30 points, six points from Liverpool on the log. At St. James’Park Newcastle handed Rudd van Nistelrooy his first defeat following a 4-0 win against Leicester City.
A brace from Jacob Murphy and strikes from Alexander Isak and Bruno Guimaraes secured the three points for the Magpies. Other result saw Ipswich Town defeat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 away.
