Doris Ogah Crowned Miss Nigeria 2024 in Spectacular Lagos Ceremony

Doris Ogah, a lawyer and model hailing from Nigeria’s south-south region, has been crowned the 45th Miss Nigeria.

The grand finale of the iconic pageant was held in Lagos, following an intense selection process that began with 20 semi-finalists competing for the prestigious title.

Ogah triumphed over four other finalists to claim the crown. The newly crowned queen, who succeeds Shatu Garko, the 44th Miss Nigeria, expressed her heartfelt gratitude on social media.

“It’s been a lifelong dream to be given the opportunity to serve as an example to inspire and empower countless women and girls around the world,” Ogah shared on Instagram, highlighting the transformative power of the platform.

Established in 1957, the Miss Nigeria pageant is one of the oldest and most respected beauty contests in Africa. Beyond celebrating beauty, the pageant is renowned for promoting cultural heritage, education, and social causes.

Each winner embodies grace, intelligence, and a commitment to societal progress. The Lagos event was not just a crowning moment but a vibrant cultural celebration, featuring electrifying performances by Nigerian music stars KCee and Yemi Alade, who kept the audience captivated.

Ogah’s win adds her to the prestigious lineage of women who have made significant contributions to various fields, leveraging the Miss Nigeria platform.
