Pep Guardiola Not Willing to Face Everton Now

Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola has come out to speak ahead of their game against Everton. The manager said he does not think now is the right time to face Everton.

According to him, he said the Merseyside club is a very ‘stubborn’ club and so he will not like to meet them now. The manager is saying this ahead of their Premier League game on Thursday. Pep Guardiola’s demise this season has arguably been the biggest story across Europe.

The Manchester side are not out of the title race and have recorded only one win in their last 12 games. Speaking with the club’s website, the Spanish tactician stated that Everton will be a difficult opponent to beat. He said: “They are not the perfect opponent. It is about us to come back to our best.”

“It will take time. We have to get results as quickly as possible. We are facing Everton and they are in a good moment, their results and performances show it.”

Pep Guardiola also said: “We train today and tomorrow night. We will stay over here and play on Boxing Day. Today will be at home with their family and then tomorrow morning. Hopefully, they’ll want to be here tomorrow night because it is our duty.”
