Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has addressed the ongoing speculations surrounding an alleged marriage crisis with fellow actor Frederick Leonard.
This comes after her husband’s fiery Instagram post condemning rumours of a marital crisis.
The controversy began when Peggy participated in the Christmas pyjamas trend, where couples pose together in matching outfits by a Christmas tree.
However, Peggy opted for a short dress and posed alone, without her husband or wedding ring. This sparked a wave of speculations in the comments, with some questioning the state of their marriage and others criticizing her outfit choice as inappropriate for a married woman.

In a lengthy Instagram post, Frederick Leonard blasted those spreading the rumours while declaring that their marriage is “nobody’s business.”
He defended his wife’s autonomy, stating that marriage is not slavery and that Peggy has every right to live freely, including choosing her outfits, taking photos without him, and even going on vacations alone.
In solidarity with her husband’s stance, Peggy Ovire reposted his statement on her Instagram story, effectively shutting down the rumours of a marriage crisis.
The move sends a clear message that the couple stands united against unwarranted scrutiny and speculation.
