Liverpool extended their leading point in the English Premier League table to eight as they thrashed West Ham 5-0. The Merseyside club is on course to lift the 2024/25 Premier League as they have only lost one game this season in all competitions.
After their 6-3 win over Tottenham last week they travel to play another London club and it’s the same story. They dealt ruthlessly with West Ham in front of their fans. In the first goal came from Luiz Daiz after 30 minutes of play before Gakpo doubled the lead just ten minutes after.
Liverpool star man Mo Salah made it 3-0 with just a minute before the halftime mark, they went into the break with a three-goals lead. Just when it looked like they were done Alexander-Arnold made it four.
Diogo Jota completed the scoring as the game ended 5-0 in favor Liverpool with Salah providing two assists and a goal. Nottingham Forest are in the second place position after beating Everton 2-0 and they are the closest to Liverpool on the table.
Arsenal will be playing tomorrow and if they win they will close up the gap but it will not make much difference as Liverpool still have a game at hand.
