Veteran Nollywood actress Shan George has opened up about her enduring admiration for award-winning singer Davido.

George cited his humility, approachable demeanor, and association with respected industry figures as key reasons for her devotion.

Reflecting on her first encounter with Davido, George shared how his hands-on approach during the launch of his debut album left a lasting impression. Despite coming from a wealthy background, the singer personally hit the streets with his team to distribute the album to fans.

George noted that this act of humility and dedication stood out to her as someone familiar with the entertainment industry’s dynamics.

“The year he released his first album, I saw him and his team on the streets sharing the album to people. Me being a person who’s been in the industry and knew his well-to-do background, I was very impressed at his free-spiritedness and humility,” she wrote.

George also recounted a memorable interaction with Davido during a flight. Despite his superstar status, he graciously agreed to take a photo with her, displaying a down-to-earth attitude that further endeared him to the actress.

“Second time I met Davido was on a flight. When I asked to take a photo, he was all smiles and obliged with no airs,” she added.

The actress emphasized that her respect for Davido is further reinforced by her long-standing relationships with industry figures like Special Spesh and Ubi Franklin. Both men, whom she described as hardworking and respectable, are part of Davido’s inner circle, which she believes speaks volumes about his character.

“I’ve known people like Special Spesh and Ubi Franklin very well for decades, as good, hardworking men who have made their own great mark and impact in the industry. They’ll never be around Davido if he wasn’t a good person,” George concluded.
