Mikel Arteta has come out to give an update on the injury concern of Gabriel Martinelli. The Brazilian suffered an injury in Wednesday’s Carabao Cup semi-finals loss against Newcastle United. Martinelli was replaced on 37 minutes after pulling up with a suspected hamstring injury.

The manager is very concerned because they already have Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus out due to injury. Arsenal suffered a set-back as they were beaten by Newcastle United 4-0 on aggregate. Speaking after the defeat about Martinelli, he said: “He felt something, I think it was his hamstring and he wasn’t comfortable to continue, so we will have to have an MRI scan tomorrow to see the extent of the injury.”
