How 2nd Wife of Gospel Singer Paul Nwokocha Returns Bride Price, Ends Marriage

Renowned gospel singer Paul Nwokocha’s marriage to his second wife, Mrs. Goodness Nwokocha, has reportedly ended less than a year after their union, according to a family source.

The news was first shared by blogger Promise Uzoma Okoro via his official Facebook page on Saturday morning.

Nwokocha tied the knot with Goodness in September 2023 following his separation from his first wife, Alice Nwokocha, whom he had accused of maltreating him.

His second wife, Goodness, hails from Nkpa in Bende Local Government Area of Abia State.However, trouble allegedly began brewing in May 2024 when Goodness started facing mistreatment in her new home.

According to the family source, she was treated more like a housemaid than a wife, leading to serious tensions in the marriage.

The source further disclosed that Goodness had no prior relationship with the gospel singer before their wedding. She reportedly relocated from Lagos to marry him at the insistence of his uncles, without conducting any background checks on him.

“She was practically forced into the marriage without knowing what she was getting into,” the source alleged.

With the return of the bride price to Paul Nwokocha’s family, the marriage has now been officially dissolved.

The abrupt end of Nwokocha’s second marriage has sparked conversations, with many questioning the circumstances surrounding both his previous and current marital woes.

While the gospel singer has yet to publicly address the controversy, the news has fueled speculations about his role in the repeated breakdown of his marriages.
