The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has shared a shocking personal experience involving a married woman.
The reverred clergyman mentioned that the woman was obsessed with him to the point of threatening his wife’s life.
During the grand finale of the 2025 Special Victory Hour program, Pastor Adeboye recounted how the woman, a high-ranking official at the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), boldly walked into his office and declared that she had received divine confirmation that he was her destined husband.
“Several years ago, a woman just woke up one morning, came to my office, and said, ‘God has told me that you are my husband.’
I said, ‘How can God tell you that? I am a pastor, happily married.’ She herself was married, and from the look of things, she might even be older than me,” Pastor Adeboye revealed.
Despite efforts to intervene, including summoning her husband and involving law enforcement, the woman refused to back down. The police directed her to stay away from the RCCG camp, but she remained defiant.

“We sent for her husband, but she didn’t change. We brought the matter to the police DPO, and they told her to stop coming to the camp. She said, ‘You are joking.’
She told my wife, ‘If you don’t allow me to marry him, I will kill you.’ This was not a joke—demons have been around for a long time,” Adeboye explained.
Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye is one of the most influential religious leaders in Nigeria and globally. He has led the RCCG since 1981, overseeing its expansion to thousands of parishes worldwide.
Known for his humility and deep spiritual insight, he has inspired millions through his messages of faith, holiness, and divine destiny.
His wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, fondly called Mummy GO, has been his pillar of support for decades. She plays a crucial role in the RCCG, heading women’s ministries and championing charitable initiatives.
Their marriage, often cited as an example of Christian partnership, has remained steadfast despite challenges.
