A yet-to-be-identified middle-aged man has reportedly committed suicide in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
The investigations conducted by journalists around revealed that the incident happened at the L.Adisa area in the Akinyele Local Government Area of the state.
It was gathered that the deceased’s body was discovered in the bush at the back of World Oil Petrol Station hanging on the tree on the Ibadan-Oyo expressway.
The circumstances surrounding his death are still unclear as of press time.
As of the time of filing this report, the security operatives comprising Nigeria Police, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, and Western Security Network codenamed Operation Àmọ̀tẹ́kùn currently at the scene to evacuate the corpse.
When contacted, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Adewale Osifeso confirmed the incident, saying legal investigation has commenced on the matter.
“The matter is undergoing investigation. Updates will be provided accordingly, please, Osifeso said.
