Former Big Brother Naija housemate and entrepreneur, Uriel Oputa, is earning accolades across social media after expressing her desire to adopt a baby girl who was recently found abandoned by a riverside in Kogi State.
The heartbreaking discovery was captured in a viral video that shows the infant crying helplessly near the Niger Bridge in the Ajaokuta area.
According to reports, a local community leader was drawn to the scene by the baby’s persistent cries. To his shock, he found the child alone—wrapped in baby clothes and a wrapper, alongside a few other personal belongings.
Omera Ugbede Opaluwa, a resident of the area who shared the video online, confirmed that the baby was rescued and is currently being looked after by members of the local community while they await further intervention from the authorities.
