5 BBNaija Housemates Who Became Nollywood Stars

Big Brother Naija (BBNaija) is famous for turning ordinary people into household names.

While many housemates have ventured into music, influencing, or entrepreneurship, some have found a thriving career in Nollywood.

Interestingly, a few stars like Venita Akpofure and Erica Nlewedim were already established actresses before stepping into the BBNaija house. But for others, the reality show became their springboard into acting.

Here are five BBNaija alumni who have made a name for themselves on the big screen.

1. Tobi Bakre

A finalist from the BBNaija “Double Wahala” season, Tobi Bakre has risen to become one of Nollywood’s hottest action stars.

Known for his high-energy performances, he has featured in blockbusters like Brotherhood, Gangs of Lagos, Suky, and Sugar Rush. His transition from reality TV to film has been nothing short of seamless, earning him critical acclaim and multiple award nominations.

2. Bisola Aiyeola

Bisola, from the “See Gobe” season, has shown incredible versatility as an actress. From comic roles to deep emotional characters, she’s proven her talent in movies and TV series such as Picture Perfect, Sugar Rush, Dwindle, and Skinny Girl in Transit.

Bisola has also bagged awards for her acting prowess, cementing her place as a Nollywood powerhouse.

3. Pere Egbi

Pere, who starred in the “Shine Ya Eye” season, had some acting experience before BBNaija, but the show amplified his career.

4. Seyi Awolowo

From the “Pepper Dem” season, Seyi Awolowo has smoothly transitioned into acting, appearing in productions such as Bad Boys and Bridesmaids and Prophetess.

5. Elozonam Ogbolu

Elozonam also from “Pepper Dem,” has embraced acting alongside his content creation career. He has appeared in titles like Man of Her Dreams and A Weekend to Forget, showcasing his range as an actor and entertainer.
