In the vast, wild west of Nigerian social media, some celebs are armed with words sharp enough to make even the toughest keyboards blush.
Here are five personalities you’ll regret provoking online—and why.
1. Portable
Known for his bold proclamations and uncanny knack for turning shade into viral content, Portable doesn’t just clap back—he trends you out.
When actress Lizzy Anjorin made disparaging comments about people in Sango, Portable shot back that they could “buy you and your property,” urging her to pack up if she couldn’t act. Soon after, Anjorin taunted him by declaring he’d only last two music videos before crashing—true social media theatre.
He’s also tangled with VeryDarkMan in a heated feud: VDM dropped diss tracks calling Portable a ‘thief’, to which Portable fired volley after volley—feasts for online battlegrounds.
2. VeryDarkMan
Martins Otse—aka VeryDarkMan—is both adored and feared for his fearlessly blunt commentary. He’s been arrested multiple times for cyberbullying and defamation, often targeting public figures and stirring instant uproars.
When his clash with Portable went from tweets to diss tracks, the internet erupted. He doesn’t just talk—you feel the burn.
3. Lizzy Anjorin
If controversies were an Olympic sport, Lizzy Anjorin would be a champion. Her feud with Iyabo Ojo included mock burials, public curses, and legal threats—so explosive it had followers glued to every update.
When Portable hit back at her Sango remarks, she retaliated mercilessly—nothing in her arsenal is off-limits.

4. Nkechi Blessing Sunday
Actress Nkechi Blessing trades in boldness and unapologetic clapbacks. Though not directly tied to the fights above, she’s publicly dissected celeb beefs as publicity stunts, claiming “when celebs bash each other online… it’s either they have a new single or they’re about to drop a song.”
Her candid opinion—and willingness to wade into the drama—means she doesn’t shy away from calling out the industry’s messiest moments.
5. Davido (and the 30BG Army)
Talking to Davido on Twitter is one thing—but his fanbase, known as 30BG? That’s a digital army. He’s had to caution them to ease off fights, yet once unleashed, they’ll roast any opposition in sight.
Case in point: when VeryDarkMan was arrested by the EFCC, Davido weighed in—calling for support for VDM—and his army immediately rallied. It might be wise to avoid grammatical wars when 30BG is online.

Other honorable mentions when it comes to fighting dirty online includes Burna Boy, Oba Solomon (Content Creator), Esabod, Kemi Olunloyo, and so on.
