Veteran Nollywood Actor, Tito Harrison has shared a deeply personal account of his battle with a liver condition and chronic ulcer, revealing the toll it took on his health, finances, and relationships.
In a candid interview on Biola Bayo’s podcast, Harrison recounted how his life turned upside down during the ordeal. He was forced to sell his house, car, and all his possessions to fund medical treatments.
When he could no longer afford rent, he and his wife moved into his mother-in-law’s home. Despite the financial and emotional strain, he said his wife remained steadfastly by his side, a gesture he described as irreplaceable.
“When I was battling with liver disease and chronic ulcer, my wife stood by me when everybody left me. It is good to have a good wife,” he said.

“I sold my house, car, and everything I had to pay hospital bills. After moving to a rented house, I couldn’t afford the rent again, so we had to stay at my mother-in-law’s place. If I come to this world again, it is my wife I will marry.”
Harrison also addressed the cruelty he experienced from some of his colleagues in the entertainment industry during his lowest moments. He recalled how some publicly mocked his financial hardship and living conditions.
“There was a time they interviewed someone and he said, ‘Tito Harrison is finished. He’s now living in his wife’s mother’s house.’ I have the publication,” he stated.
“Even if it’s true, must you say it? Even if it had been so, if you can’t rally around me, you don’t vilify me or kill my reputation.”
Tito Harrison was popular in the Yoruba Nollywood especially in the early 2000s where he featured in several movies. He’s known to speak big grammar in movies which made him have a lot of fans.
