Renowned veteran actor and filmmaker Yinka Quadri has been honored with the prestigious Islamic chieftaincy title, Osupa Adini.
This title, awarded by Ma’had Thaqofat Arabic and Islamic Studies, recognizes his contributions to the Islamic faith and community. The ceremony was led by Chief Imam Fadeelat Sheikh Ibrahim Omodola of Araromi Central Mosque.
Expressing gratitude, Quadri shared, “Yesterday, I was bestowed with the Islamic chieftaincy title of Osupa Adini… under the leadership of Fadeelat Sheikh Ibrahim Omodola, Chief Imam of Araromi Central Mosque, and my spiritual father, Fadeelat Sheikh Ahmad Hanafy.”
He went on to thank his family and friends for their unwavering support, calling them “the best anyone could ask for.”

This honor is a testament to Quadri’s faith and dedication to his community, further solidifying his legacy both within and outside the entertainment industry.
Yinka Quadri is a pioneer in Nigeria’s Yoruba film industry and a co-founder of the Odunfa Caucus, a renowned theater group that has produced numerous talents.
With a career spanning over four decades, Quadri has featured in and produced numerous iconic Yoruba films, including Kura, Owo Blow, and Ekun.
His roles often explore complex human emotions, cultural themes, and moral lessons, earning him a reputation as one of Nollywood’s most versatile actors.
Beyond acting, he has been instrumental in mentoring young actors and shaping the Yoruba film narrative.
Quadri’s latest honor adds to his storied legacy, reflecting his impact both in the arts and his spiritual commitments.
