Manchester United and Ivorian star player Ahmed Diallo became the talk of the town across the globe as he pulled a 12-minute hattrick to give United a win. The club which has had very tough fixtures since December was able to grab a win in the game.
United who had beaten Manchester City, Draw Liverpool, and beat Arsenal which was something many never saw coming welcomed The Saints to Old Trafford. The game started well but United were floppy as they kept missing goal-scoring chances.
Southampton had their chance but the brilliance of Andre Onana kept their chances out. The opener came a few minutes before the half-time break through a corner kick for the visitors. It was their first goal from a corner since the start of the season.
They headed into the half-time break with a lead but United came back hoping to change things but it was not looking right. Manchester United finally got the leveler in the 80th minute of the game thanks to Amad Diallo. The Ivorian international soon doubled the lead eight minutes later.
Amed Diallo completed his hat-trick in the 94th minute of the game making him the first United player to score a hattrick in Manchester United shirt after Ronaldo in 2022. The win moved them from the 15th place position to the 12th position.
Their next game will be against Brighton who beat Ipswich 2-0 last night as well. Speaking about Amad Diallo’s performance, head coach Amorin said: “I will tell him tomorrow he has to rest, eat good food and be ready for Sunday [against Brighton] when we need him again.”
The manager also said: “He is having a very good season. Congratulations to him. I hope he enjoys tonight because he needs to appreciate these moments.” “But we have to be careful with young kids. This game is in the past.”
