Fatai Odunsin, father of Grammy-nominated Nigerian artist Asake, has provided an update on his relationship with his son, confirming that they have reconciled.
The controversy began when Odunsin publicly sought financial assistance while battling a stroke, a situation that sparked criticism of Asake.
Some family members also accused the singer of neglecting his alleged baby mama and their 11-year-old daughter. However, in a recent interview with content creator Mr. Lilgaga, Odunsin disclosed that Asake has cleared his outstanding medical bills and is taking further steps to support him.
He revealed that the singer is planning to buy him a house in Lagos, emphasizing that his previous social media outburst was driven by frustration over their strained relationship.
“We have settled our dispute,” Odunsin stated, putting an end to speculations about their family rift.

Asake, born Ahmed Ololade, has risen to prominence as one of Afrobeats’ biggest stars. Signed to YBNL Nation under the mentorship of Olamide, he gained widespread recognition in 2022 with his hit single Omo Ope.
