Spanish La Liga giants Barcelona has set the records straight that they are ready to battle the like of Chelsea and Manchester United for Victor Osimhen. They see Victor Osimhen as a possible replacement for their old striker Robert Lewandowski.
Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli has been impressive in front of goal since he arrived there. His speed, ability to play between the lines, and knack for pinning down defenders fit perfectly with their profile.
The only challenge now is that his signing will not be easy as they are clubs already in line for him. Napoli are willing to permanently part ways with Osimhen next summer, but will are requesting for nothing less than €75-80 million.
The amount seems complicated for Barça, which continues to struggle with financial issues. Their only option if they really want to sign him is to now part ways with one of its key players to raise the money. It is now left for them to decide if the investment in Osimhen is viable or if they should look else where.
The options are actually limited for the Spanish side a Lewandowski replacement is really not easy to find now. But they believe Osimhen has the strength their forward line needs. The 26-year-old is currently on international duty as he is set to help the Super Eagles get their faltering 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers back on track.
