Afrobeats sensation Burna Boy has addressed the controversy surrounding an alleged promise of a Lamborghini to his estranged associate, Sophia Egbueje.
The drama began when a leaked voice note surfaced online, in which Sophia allegedly claimed that Burna Boy had vowed to buy her a Lamborghini but failed to fulfill his promise after their intimate encounter.
Feeling deceived, she reportedly blocked the Grammy-winning artist and never revisited the matter until the leaked conversation brought it back into the spotlight.
The revelation quickly gained traction, sparking debates among fans and entertainment watchers.
In response, Burna Boy took to his Instagram story, where he dismissed the allegations in a lighthearted manner.
While announcing his arrival in Kenya, he playfully sang: “I have reached Kenya mehn. No do, I told you. If you don’t get me, forget about it. I didn’t buy Lambo, is that why you’re shouting?”
His remarks have since ignited mixed reactions across social media. While some fans applauded his humor and nonchalant attitude, others criticized him for making light of the situation rather than addressing the claims directly.
