Fulham and Nigeria defender Calvin Bassey, has come out to praise his side’s resilient efforts against Manchester United. The Nigerian was instrumental in their 1-1 draw against Manchester United.
Speaking about the game, Bassey said: “Especially the second half we pushed could have deserved more. We had some good moments.”

Speaking about the penelty given against them, he said: “I think it is harsh. I understand why it is given. Where my foot is, I am trying to stay strong. I have sort of pulled him over my foot.”
“Refs have got to protect us as well. I am strong. If it is someone stronger, it doesn’t look as bad.” Bassey also said: “You have seen it given, and you have not seen it. Everything looks worse in slo-mo.”
“Something to learn for me and all the boys – to be a bit more streetwise.” Speaking about the miss, he said to him it was justice served.

Manchester United woes and worry still continue as they remain the only big team in the league that is yet to win a game after two games.
They lost their first game at home against Arsenal last week Sunday. They are currently in the 16th place position after picking one point in two games.
