Card I B, the outspoken hip-hop artist, took to social media to voice her frustration following the surprising outcome of the 2024 U.S. presidential election. Donald Trump, returning to the political arena after his 2020 loss, has reclaimed the White House in an unexpected victory.
Trump’s win marks a historic comeback, as he is now only the second former president to regain the office in U.S. history, after Grover Cleveland’s return in 1893.
On Instagram Live, Cardi B shared her emotional reaction with her 37,000 followers, using vivid language to express her discontent.
“I swear to god I’m gonna f–k you up, get away from me,” she declared. “I’m sick of you! Burn you’re f–king hats motherf–ker. I’m really sad. I swear to god I’m really sad.”
The “I Like It” artist’s words captured a broader sense of shock and anger among celebrities and progressive voices nationwide.
The victory followed a fierce campaign, with Trump’s platform focusing on “America First” policies, promising stronger immigration reforms, economic nationalism, and a rollback of certain international alliances.
His primary opponent, who represented a more moderate vision, emphasized unity and domestic priorities, attempting to bridge political divides in a polarized nation.
Despite this, Trump’s appeal among rural and working-class voters solidified his win in key battleground states.
Cardi B’s remarks add to the stream of reactions flooding social media from various high-profile figures, many of whom had hoped for a different result. With her frank and candid response, she represents the frustration and disillusionment shared by many who had anticipated change.
