Chelsea, too Good for Conference League

English Premier League top side Chelsea recorded the biggest Europa Conference League victory last night. The London team welcomed Armenian side FC Noah in the Conference League and it hot.

Chelsea Thrash FC Noah 8-0 in Conference League

The Blues, showed their dominance as they were leading 6-0 before the half time break. They took the lead when Tosin Adarabioyo headed in Enzo Fernandez’s corner. The second goal came almost immediately as FC Noah lost the ball immediately kick-off and Marc Guiu won the ball and scored.

It was a rain of goals as Axel Disasi headed in another Fernandez corner, then Fernandez fed Joao Felix who ran through and clipped the ball over the goalkeeper.Mykhailo Mudryk was not left out of the party as he scored the best goal of the game when he curled a fine shot into the top corner, before Felix netted his second via a deflection.

France international Christopher Nkunku, who also hit the bar, hooked in a seventh from an angle after his initial shot was saved. He grabbed his second from the penalty point which he slammed down the middle. Nkunku is the club’s top scorer this season with 10 goals – despite only starting one league game – which shows how distinct their cup team is.

Questions now is, is Chelsea too big for the Conference League as many have said even their second-string team are far too good for the Conference League with 16 goals scored in their first three wins.

Chelsea were huge favourites to win this game, ranked eighth in Uefa’s European club rankings, compared with Noah at 311th. FC Noah, who were only formed seven years ago, started well and Goncalo Gregorio forced a save from Filip Jorgensen after just three minutes.
