Controversial social media critic, Verydarkman, has sparked reactions with his take on Nollywood actress Destiny Etiko’s latest luxury purchase—a G-Wagon, reportedly worth ₦350 million.
Etiko, who announced the acquisition of the high-end vehicle on Valentine’s Day via Instagram, received widespread attention, especially after popular blogger Tunde Ednut estimated its price at ₦350 million.
However, Verydarkman is not convinced.In a viral video, he accused celebrities of exaggerating the cost of their purchases to create pressure on social media.

According to him, some celebrities claim to buy new cars when, in reality, they are merely repainting old ones.
“If you buy a car and want to show it off online, post the manufacturing date of the car. I know two Nollywood actresses who have claimed to buy new Range Rovers multiple times, but all they did was change the color,” he said.
The critic emphasized that without proper proof, such announcements should be taken with skepticism. His remarks have since ignited discussions online, with fans and critics debating the authenticity of celebrity lifestyle displays.
Destiny Etiko has yet to directly respond to Verydarkman’s allegations, but her latest social media posts suggest she remains unbothered by the controversy.
