Swedish club Malmo FF have completed the signing of Nigerian Italian-born forward Emmanuel Ekong. The striker joined the Swedish Allsvenskan champions from Serie A side, Empoli. It is said that the player has pen down a five-year contract with the club.
The strEmmanuel Ekong will wear the jersey number 11 at his new club. Speaking about his new club, Ekong said: “It feels great to finally be there, I’ve been longing for this. I feel that this is absolutely the right step for me considering the ambitions of Malmö FF and I want to be part of a journey with a team that always plays to win.”
The Nigerian also said: “It will be fun and exciting to play Swedish football again. I think the team’s way of playing will suit me well, I am fast, technical and like to challenge. I hope to score a lot of points and help the team.”
