Erik ten Hag Shock United Fans as He Drops Statement

Dutchman Erik ten Hag has dropped an official farewell message to Manchester United following his sack from the club. The former Ajax manager says he wishes the club fans “nothing but success, trophies and glory.” Erik ten Hag was sacked on Monday after his side lost 2-1 away to West Ham United on Sunday and he blamed it on poor officiating.

Ten Hag, won two trophies in his two years with the Premier League side. After his sack, his action was one which surprised many as they felt he will come hard on the club. The tactician however did the opposite as he thanked the supporters of the club.

In his statement he said: “Thank you for always being there for the club,” he said. “Whether it was at a game far away or a tough match at Old Trafford, your support has been unshakeable. The atmosphere at Old Trafford has always been electrifying, thanks to you.

He also said: “I also want to thank the staff in every department of the club for their unwavering support in good times and bad.” Erik ten Hag took charge in the summer of 2022, ending the club’s six-year wait for silverware by winning the Carabao Cup and achieving a third-placed finish in the Premier League in his first season.

“We won two trophies – achievements that I will cherish for the rest of my life,” added Ten Hag.” “Of course my dream was to bring more trophies to the cabinet. Unfortunately, that dream has come to an end.”
