Nigerian rapper and actor, Falz, has publicly denied having any prior relationship with controversial crossdresser Bobrisky.
The lawyer turned entertainer clarified that his only interaction with him stemmed from a request for help during a legal issue.
In an interview with Arise TV, Falz explained that Bobrisky reached out to him via Instagram while in prison, seeking assistance.
The rapper, known for his social activism, said he often receives similar requests from people in distress and responded to Bobrisky the same way he does to others—compassionately.

“I never had any relationship with Bobrisky prior to that phone call. He messaged me on Instagram and said, ‘I’m in this case and I want to speak to you about how you can help,’” Falz said.
“Thousands of people message me about similar stuff. This is not a special case.” Falz emphasized that he merely offered an audience out of compassion but now regrets the decision. “Little did I know. Anyways, as they say, once bitten, twice shy,” he stated.
“Maybe I’m not going to help anyone again in my life, but maybe I will be much more conscious.”
The clarification comes in the wake of his ongoing defamation lawsuit against social media personality VeryDarkMan (VDM), who leaked a purported phone conversation between Falz and Bobrisky.
The rapper filed the suit alongside his father, renowned lawyer Femi Falana (SAN), alleging defamation. Providing an update on the legal proceedings, Falz said VDM has yet to present a defense.
“We filed the case and ever since, they have never entered a defense. Instead, they filed a preliminary objection, claiming the court doesn’t have jurisdiction,” he revealed.
“As at the last court date, I was present. The court threw out that preliminary objection. Now they have to enter a defense, or the court will proceed to rule on the case,” he added.
“I can’t really say much about the subject of current litigation, so I will leave it there.”
