A Brazilian influencer, Janaína Prazeres, has spent nearly £1 million on plastic surgery to achieve what she calls “perfection.”
After undergoing 20 procedures—including multiple rhinoplasties, facial harmonization, a Brazilian Butt Lift, and a body lift—she was named “Perfect Woman” by Playboy Norway in 2023.
However, her dramatic transformation led to an unexpected incident at São Paulo International Airport. Prazeres revealed that immigration officers detained her for 40 minutes, questioning her identity and comparing her appearance to past images before allowing her to board her flight to the U.S.
“I always knew this could happen at some point because my appearance has changed a lot over the years,” she admitted. “But at that moment, it was a shock – you never expect to be stopped at an airport without doing anything wrong.”
The 35-year-old, who boasts over 725,000 Instagram followers, said the experience was so unsettling that she now plans to update her passport photo.
“I didn’t want to go through that kind of embarrassment again,” she stated. “As soon as I arrived at my destination, I started looking into what I needed to get a new document with a more recent photo.”
Prazeres believes beauty is the key to a better life, insisting that she spares no expense in maintaining her looks. “I love feeling more beautiful – I always try to make my self-esteem high. This is the secret to a better life. So if I can invest in [my beauty], I don’t save.”
Her journey to physical transformation has cost her an estimated £758,000, with a single body lift alone priced at £66,000. Despite the challenges, she remains committed to her pursuit of perfection, cautioning, “Perfection has its price”.
