It is a big blow to Real Madrid as their star player Vinicius Jr sustained an injury during their 3-0 win against Leganes. The Brazilian will miss Real Madrid’s Champions League game against Liverpool due to the injury.

Vinicius Jnr played the whole of the game but it was later reported that the player was playing a hamstring injury. Real Madrid, who are 18th in the 36-team Champions League table, will travel to Anfield on Wednesday to face Liverpool who are topping the table.
The La Liga club named a 19-man travelling squad for the trip to Merseyside and there was no place for Vinicius Jr after he suffered “an injury to the biceps femoris in his left leg.”
According to reports the Brazilian international could be sidelined for around three weeks but Madrid are not commenting on the severity of the injury. Vini wrote on X saying “Crazy calendar. Time to recover.”
