Grammy award-winning artist Burna Boy sparked widespread online debate after halting his performance at the Greater Lagos Countdown 2025 due to a shocking on-stage incident.
The star-studded event, which featured electrifying performances from Seyi Vibez and Wizkid, took an unexpected turn when a fan broke through security and rushed toward Burna Boy mid-performance.
Startled by the breach, the Afrofusion superstar abruptly left the stage, leaving fans stunned. A video capturing the moment has since gone viral, fueling divided reactions among netizens.
Some criticized Burna Boy’s decision to stop the show, while others defended his actions, citing concerns for his safety.
Social media user Emmanuel Kings commented, “Make him dey calm down joor… Buga too much!”
Another fan, Emmanuel Nwanosike, expressed disappointment, saying, “Like, I don’t understand. He did not perform again just because a fan jumped on him? He should be happy. Burna Boy, leave pride a beg 💯💯.”
Adding a humorous perspective, Taiye Amos remarked, “Even with free ticket, I nor dey attend show. I go dey watch am for Facebook 😂😂.”
