Arsenal was shocked by Newcastle United as their Swedish international Alexander Isak scored a 12th-minute goal to give his side a win. The header came after the Gunners failed to clear their lines and Anthony Gordon sent a sumptuous ball into the area.
It is Arsenal’s second loss in the 2024/25 season, the game started in favour of the visitors but Isak put a stop to their dominance. After the goal, the visitors struggle to make an impact.
Mikel Arteta made changes in the second half to try to break down Newcastle but it all to nothing. Arsenal only managed to register just one shot on target across the 90 minutes of the game.
Victory for the Magpies moves them up to eighth in the league while Arsenal is third and will find themselves eight points adrift of Manchester City in the second place.
