The never-ending feud between Nollywood actresses Iyabo Ojo and Lizzy Anjorin has erupted yet again.
This time, Iyabo Ojo has declared plans to initiate new legal action over what she describes as defamatory remarks, curses, and threats targeted at her and her family.
This latest twist comes months after the Lagos State High Court, Osborne Division, threw out Ojo’s ₦1 billion defamation suit against Anjorin.
The case was dismissed on procedural grounds, and the court went further by ordering Ojo’s lawyer, Olabimpe Ajegbomogun, to pay ₦500,000 in costs to Anjorin’s counsel, Ademola Olabiyi.
Taking to Instagram on Monday, Ojo revealed that despite the earlier court setback, her legal team has been carefully tracking Lizzy Anjorin’s conduct. She disclosed that documented evidence of her rival’s alleged remarks is already being compiled to strengthen a new case.
“My legal team isn’t sleeping. They are taking note of everything. A wise person listens to learned counsel. Everything has its timing,” Ojo wrote in the lengthy post.
The actress went further to accuse Anjorin of consistently hurling vicious attacks at her, including insults, curses, and even shocking death wishes directed at her children and grandson.
“The insults, curses, even death wishes Liz has directed at my family, especially my grandson, are heartbreaking. Most times, I struggle to hold my peace, but I choose to ignore the distractions. Who God has blessed, no one can curse,” she declared.
Ojo also explained why she had temporarily put the legal matter on hold. According to her, family commitments—particularly the joy of welcoming her first grandchild and standing by her daughter, Priscilla Ojo—took priority.
She, however, hinted that upon her return to Lagos, legal fireworks may resume in full force.
For now, the veteran actress insists she is focusing on protecting her family, but her words suggest that the ongoing Nollywood war of words is far from over.
Iyabo Ojo and Lizzy Anjorin are thespians who both made their names in the Yoruba section of Nollywood. Both feud intensified when Iyabo became friend of Fola Tinubu, the ex-wife of Lizzy Anjorin’s husband.
