Justin Bieber has finally broken his silence on the swirling allegations that link him to embattled rapper and music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently facing multiple charges related to sexual misconduct.
The 31-year-old pop star addressed growing concerns from fans that he may have been abused by Combs during his early teenage years in the music industry.
Speculation intensified after a 2024 resurfaced video showed a young Bieber, then a minor, spending 48 hours with Combs during a supposed music collaboration.
Days after the official start of Combs’s sex trafficking trial in New York on Monday, May 12, Bieber’s representative released a formal statement on Thursday, May 15, to clarify the singer’s position.
“Although Justin is not among Sean Combs’ victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him,” the spokesperson told TMZ. “Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve.”
Combs, 55, is currently facing serious charges including racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting individuals for prostitution. If convicted, he could face life imprisonment. He has denied all allegations.
Combs played a notable role in Justin Bieber’s rise to fame, with his mentorship of Usher — the artist who signed Bieber at age 14 — being a key connection. However, new attention has been drawn to a video from 2010 showing a visibly uncomfortable 16-year-old Bieber stammering while Combs questions him on why they no longer spend time together.
Despite maintaining a working relationship over the years, including a 2023 collaboration on Combs’s track “Moment” from The Love Album: Off the Grid, sources close to Bieber suggest he has been emotionally affected by the latest revelations.
“He is so disturbed by the Diddy news and is unwilling to process it or discuss it, so he has shut off,” a source told Daily Mail. “He deeply regrets their most recent collaboration and wouldn’t have done it had he known about the alleged illegal activities.”
Another insider told Us Weekly that Bieber is “completely disgusted” by the allegations and “wants to protect himself” as the case unfolds.
