Popular Nigerian rapper Keshinro Ololade, better known by his stage name Lil Kesh, has finally broken his silence after a terrifying attack in Lagos earlier this week that left him with serious injuries.
The shocking incident occurred on Wednesday when Lil Kesh was ambushed by unidentified assailants who allegedly tried to rob him of his valuables, including his chain.
In the course of the altercation, the 30-year-old rapper was stabbed in the neck and ear, leaving him badly wounded. Disturbing images from the scene quickly circulated online, igniting widespread concern from fans and colleagues in the entertainment industry.
Fortunately, Lil Kesh was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors promptly stitched his wounds and stabilized his condition.
In his first public statement since the incident, the “Shoki” crooner took to his Instagram story to share his gratitude and relief at surviving the ordeal.
“Life threw me a curveball, but I’m safe, healing, and blessed to be here. Grateful for the love, support and prayers,” he wrote.

The heartfelt update has since reassured his loyal fan base, many of whom had flooded social media with messages of concern and encouragement in the hours following the attack.
While police investigations into the assault are still ongoing, Lil Kesh’s recovery has become the central focus, with admirers hoping for his quick return to the spotlight.
Lil Kesh is one of Nigeria’s most influential rap stars, who rose to fame in 2014 with his breakout hit single “Shoki.” Signed under Olamide’s YBNL Nation at the time, the song became a nationwide anthem and cemented his place as a household name in the Nigerian music industry.
