After falling behind early, it looked as though the Reds’ title celebrations was going to have to wait. But they weren’t trailing for long as Diaz equalized just four minutes after Solanke’s opener.
From there, the Tottenham conceded more and more as both Mac Allister and Gakpo found the back of the net before the first half break. The second half offered more of the same and the Reds extended their lead with a Salah strike and then Udogie accidentally put the ball past his own goal.
With four games still left to play, Liverpool have been crowned the champions. The triumph also sees Liverpool draw level with Manchester United’s all-time record of 20 English top-flight titles, rekindling the historic rivalry between the two most successful clubs in England’s football history.
