Following the departure of Luiz Diaz from Liverpool to Bayern Munich, the Colombian international in shocking turn of an event has said it Liverpool new signing Florian Wirtz that convinced him to leave the club. According to reports, the Colombian international had some weeks with the former Bayer Leverkusen star during Liverpool’s preseason before being sold to Bayern.
Diaz, said he had a conversation with Wirtz, who turned down the chance to sign with the German giants in favour of a switch to the Premier League. He said: “I was already familiar with the German league and know roughly what kind of football is played here.”
“But yes, I had the opportunity to speak with Florian. The league is different from the English one, but it’s also intense and physical. Football is also well played here, there are great teams, and the stadiums are always full.”
“Florian also told me that the city is great and that I would really enjoy it here. He also wished me the best of luck. I’m very grateful to him.” Many are now wondering why the new Liverpool signing will ask him to leave the club which he just came to.
On the other hand, some are saying Luiz Diaz is only looking for an excuse and who to put the blame on for living Liverpool. Remember he was the only Liverpool player who did not give late Diogo Jota a befitting burial rites as he was seen partying.
