Marc Guiu Scores 3 as Chelsea Smile Passed Shamrock

Chelsea teenager Marc Guiu was on the score sheet against as he scored a first-half hat-trick as Chelsea thrashed Shamrock Rovers 5-1. The victory means the London club has finish top of the Conference League league phase.

They made it six wins from six in the competition. They made early pressure count by taking a deserved lead when 18-year-old striker Guiu capitalised on a misunderstanding between Darragh Burns and goalkeeper Leon Pohls.

The Ireland club came close twice through Johnny Kenny either side of Guiu’s opener, and it paid off. They got the leveler but their celebrations were short-lived as Guiu netted his second of the day in the 34th minute of the game.

Another player Dewsburry-Hall then made it 3-1 before the teenager completed his hat-trick in the 45th minute to make it 4-1 as they moved in half time. Marc Cucurella completed the scoring in the second half.

Shamrock Rovers, meanwhile, enter the knockout phase play-offs and await Friday’s draw.
