As Arsenal fans cry and beg for striker, the head coach Mikel Arteta who is in charge of the team has given deaf ears to their begging. The manager has instead of seeking for an attacker go for another defender.
Reports has it that the manager is interested in signing Barcelona and France right-back star Jules Kounde. This is a big surprise to many Arsenal fans as they feel what they need is a striker and not another defender. This concern is because they have a very good defensive unit right now but it looks like the manager is looking at injuries.
A lot of their key players have suffered serious injury this period and the manager is not willing to risk it. The likes of Ben White has undergone surgery which has sidelined him for a very long time.
Jurrien Timber has been covering for White at right-back position but, he too has struggled to stay fit due to his previous injury. Because of this, it is now gathered that Mikel Arteta side is plotting a €40 million bid to sign Kounde.
