Nigerian skit maker and fast-rising music artist, NasBoi, has made headlines with his latest achievement as he secured three nominations at the prestigious Black Entertainment, Film, Fashion, Television, and Arts (BEFFTA) Awards.
The entertainer took to his X (formerly Twitter) account to announce the nominations, expressing his excitement and gratitude.
In his post, NasBoi wrote, “I just bagged 3 international nominations. @BEFFTAAWARDS Content creator of the year, Rising star of the year, Best song collaboration (Umbrella ft @wandecoal).”
These nominations are a testament to NasBoi’s growing influence in both the comedy and music industries. NasBoi, whose real name is Lawal Michael Bolaji Nasiru, first gained popularity in Nigeria through his hilarious skits, which often tackle everyday issues in Nigerian society with a humorous twist.
His distinct ability to mimic different accents especially that of music superstar, Davido, and his playful persona earned him a large following on social media platforms, making him one of the most sought-after skit makers in the country.
NasBoi’s rise to fame is characterized by his authentic style, unique voice, and relatability, which resonates with millions of fans both in Nigeria and beyond.His foray into the music industry has further cemented his status as a versatile entertainer.
NasBoi has showcased his musical talent through various collaborations and singles, blending Afrobeat with other contemporary sounds.
