Following one of the most extravagant weddings of the year, one of Lauren Sanchez’s wedding dresses has reportedly gone missing—just days after she exchanged vows with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos.
The couple tied the knot during a lavish three-day celebration on the scenic island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, Italy. The 55-year-old bride reportedly had a stunning selection of 27 designer dresses to choose from for her wedding festivities.
However, one of those outfits has now mysteriously vanished without a trace. According to reports from Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, the missing gown disappeared sometime during or shortly after the ceremony.
The designer behind the missing piece remains unknown. However, the incident has raised eyebrows due to the circumstances surrounding it.Witnesses say an unidentified woman, described as “elegantly dressed,” managed to sneak past security during the ceremony.
Though she was eventually escorted out, her identity was never confirmed—and she is now suspected of taking the dress. The missing gown has not been recovered, and no further details about the ongoing investigation have been made public.
Adding to the chaos, another of Sanchez’s dresses—this one from Dolce & Gabbana—reportedly caught fire during the wedding celebration. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and the situation was brought under control.
Despite the mishaps, Sanchez appeared radiant as she shared a photo on Instagram shortly after the ceremony. The bride stunned in a breathtaking gown featuring floral lace sleeves, a high neckline, a fitted bodice, and an impressive train. The dress also included intricate button details that cascaded down the front. The couple’s Instagram snap was captioned simply with the wedding date.
Before the ceremony, Lauren had also posed in the exquisite wedding dress for a pre-wedding Vogue photoshoot, highlighting the glamour and sophistication of the big day.
The Bezos-Sanchez wedding drew a glittering crowd of celebrity guests and was one of the most talked-about celebrity events of the year. However, with a stolen dress and a dress fire, the luxurious event certainly didn’t go off without a hitch.
