Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, better known as Odumeje, a popular Nigerian cleric, recently shared that his TikTok account was suspended due to what the platform described as “dangerous miracles.”
In a video circulating on social media, the renowned preacher addressed his congregation about the incident, attributing TikTok’s decision to the extreme nature of his supernatural acts.
“They said this miracle is beyond them,” Odumeje revealed, referencing TikTok’s stance. He added that his account was “disconnected” due to what the platform considered a violation of its community guidelines.
According to TikTok’s policies, content that is harmful, misleading, or illegal is prohibited. However, it remains unclear whether Odumeje’s videos directly breach these terms.
Odumeje, whose unconventional and controversial style has made him a frequent subject of public discourse, acknowledged that other platforms like Facebook have also reacted to his content with caution.
His statement has since spurred debates, with some questioning the authenticity of his miracles and others defending his freedom to express his faith.
The cleric’s ministrations is being used by Nigerian content creators and skit makers alike. He’s known to be the initiator of lingua such as “indaboski”, “bahoose”, “kabash” etc.
