Former Nigerian Idol winner, K-Peace, has publicly accused the reality show’s organizers of failing to deliver on the grand prize he was promised.
Despite the show’s public announcement that he had received ₦7.5 million and a brand-new car, K-Peace claims he never saw a dime.
In an emotional revelation, he described his struggles after emerging as the winner, stating that he was left stranded and penniless in Lagos while the public assumed he was living in luxury.
“I Walked Around Lagos on an Empty Stomach” Speaking in an exclusive interview, K-Peace recalled his ordeal after the show ended.
According to him, while the organizers told the public he had received his winnings, he was battling financial hardship with nothing to show for his supposed victory.
“I came out from the Nigerian Idol platform with zero naira in my account. I attended interviews on an empty stomach. We walked all over Lagos without food in my belly,” he lamented.

When he inquired about his prize, he was met with repeated excuses.
“They announced ₦7.5 million as the grand prize, but as time passed, I kept asking when the money would be credited and when I’d get the car. They kept pushing it forward,” he revealed.
The promises extended beyond just money and a car. K-Peace was also supposed to enjoy a two-week trip to Dubai, but that, too, never materialized.
“They claimed they were still branding the car. They announced on national TV that I won ₦7.5 million and a car, and that I was supposed to have a two-week trip to Dubai. Meanwhile, I was going through hell.”
