Peller Fears Been Shot As Fellow Streamer Over Recent Comments

Controversial Nigerian streamer, Peller, has claimed that he is receiving death threats after calling for an end to the ongoing #30DayRants challenge on TikTok.

Peller, known for his outspoken nature, recently urged Nigerians to stop participating in the challenge, which has been widely used to criticize poor governance.

He warned that continued political criticism on the platform could lead to a government ban on TikTok, ultimately affecting the livelihood of content creators like himself.

His comments sparked outrage, with many accusing him of prioritizing personal gains over national discourse. Amid the backlash, Peller revealed during a livestream that he has been threatened with violence.

I have been receiving death threats. Some people threatened to shoot me like they shot Salo in Lekki Phase 1. They asked me to watch my back when going out,” he said. “What is all this? I’m not talking again. Goodbye.”

The reference to “Salo” points to the tragic shooting of fellow streamer, Oloba Salo, in Lekki, Lagos, last year—an incident that shook Nigeria’s online entertainment space.

Peller has built a reputation as a bold and often controversial digital personality. His content, which blends social commentary, entertainment, and satire, has garnered a massive following on TikTok and other platforms.

However, his latest stance against the #30DayRants challenge has placed him at the center of heated debate, with some labeling him a sellout while others argue he is simply protecting his career.
