Renowned American rapper Wiz Khalifa recently shared his insights on relationships during an interview on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast, where he emphasized the importance of a lengthy dating period before marriage.
Khalifa suggested that couples should date for at least 10 years to truly understand one another and their respective families, as well as to adapt to the realities of cohabitation.
“People should date for 10 years before getting married because that’s long enough to know the person, their family, and who you’re going to deal with when you move in together,” he explained.
Khalifa also addressed the topic of cohabitation, acknowledging that each couple’s decision is influenced by their unique circumstances.
“It depends on the situation and the circumstances. Some people move in right away and still need time to figure it out,” he said, reflecting on the challenges of adjusting to shared living spaces.
The rapper noted that living together can unveil new dimensions of a partner’s personality, emphasizing the need for time to adapt regardless of when cohabitation begins.
“If you don’t move in right away, you’ll learn that there’s one version of the person when you’re not sharing things and a different version when you are,” Khalifa added.
Khalifa’s perspective provides food for thought in navigating the complexities of modern relationships and underscores the importance of taking the time to build a solid foundation before marriage.
