Pep Guardiola Admits its the End of his Reign

Following the exit of Manchester City from the 2024/25 Campions League, City coach Pep Guardiola has come out to speak about his team. The manager said “nothing is eternal” which could e interpreted that his era has come an end.

The English Premier League side were bundled out of the competition after failing to beat defending Champions Real Madrid. Manchester City have enjoyed great success under Pep Guardiola, with six Premier Leagues titles and the European Cup.

This season they however have endured the most testing campaign of his reign. They have dropped out of the domestic title race amid an injury crisis and now out of Europe. Speaking after the loss Pep said: “Nothing is eternal,” he also said: “We have been unbelievable and we have to try step by step to get better from today.”

Pep Guardiola said: “We have been extraordinarily extraordinary in the past, but not any more.” “We have 13 games [left in the Premier League] and have to be top four or five to try to be [in the Champions League] again.” “We couldn’t defend well with the movement from Mbappe and it was more difficult.”

The manager said Madrid was the better team and they deserve to win more than them. He said: “The best team won, they deserved it. They were better. What we have to do is accept the reality and move forward.”
