Pep Guardiola Declares State of Emergency in City Team

Following Manchester City 1-0 loss to Nottingham Forest, Pep Guardiola has revealed his team has a do or task to perform before the end of the season. The 1-0 loss condemned the Premier League champions to their ninth league defeat of the season.

The record equals their record for most league defeats in a season during the Spaniard’s reign. And for the first time under Pep, qualification for the Champions League is under serious threat. It is now because of this treat that major has said his team has ten finals to play.

Manchester City have not missed out on Champions League qualification since the 2009-10 season. They have qualified for the tournament with relative ease in seven of Guardiola’s eight full seasons at Etihad Stadium.

So far, City have conceded 38 goals in 28 matches this term more than they’ve conceded in the seven out of eight full seasons. City have lost 15 of their past 30 matches across all competitions. Their previous 15 defeats before that came over a period of 169 matches.

Speaking about the situation Guardiola says his side must treat every single game as a “final.” He said starting with the visit of Brighton, who are just one point behind them next Saturday. The manager said: “We have 10 games to qualify.” “We have to win games to qualify and we move on to the next one.”

“Every season the Premier League gets better and better. We have 10 finals [to come].” “We don’t win enough games in a row to be secure.
