Following the appointment of the new Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle, fans have giving reactions to the appointment. While many consider it a wrong move, others say it is good. Eric Chelle who was appointed on Tuesday is expected to be in Abuja on Sunday to final details of his contract.
Many people have been questioning his appointment as they said Eric Chelle is still very young in the business. He has managed just one national team and now he is managing a team that is desperately looking for World Cup qualification.
The Super Eagles of Nigeria is not one which anyone can just come manage. The team has the African best player both present and immediate passed. So, giving the job to a new bees is risky, Mr Garba Gombe had earlier said Eric Chelle is a baby coach.
The new manager is now charged with the responsibility of proving this wrong by taking them to the World Cup. He has appointed three assistant coaches already and the three persons are his trusted assistants.
They worked with him during his reign in charge of the Malian national team, the Eagles. The trio were also with Chelle during his time with MC Oran. Their first major assignment with the Super Eagles will be 2024 African Nations Championship.
