Revealed: Portable Makes Huge Claims After Release on Bail

Nigerian street-hop artist, Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has pledged to turn a new leaf following his recent release on bail.

The controversial singer, known for his hit track Zazu, was granted bail by a Magistrate Court in Isabo, Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Thursday. He was required to post a N2 million bond after pleading not guilty to five charges, including conspiracy, assault, unlawful possession of weapons, and disorderly conduct.

Portable’s legal troubles stem from allegations that he assaulted three officials from the Ogun Planning and Development Permit Authority (OGPDPA). The police in Ogun State had arraigned him before the court following the reported incident.

After securing his release, the singer took to social media to express his gratitude and announce his resolve to focus on financial success.

In a video shared on his Instagram handle on Friday, February 21, he assured fans that his days of controversy were over.Speaking in Yoruba, he declared:

“My fans, thank God for everything. If you have God, you have everything. I need money. I am not looking for trouble anymore. I’m now focused on making money. I have N2 million bail debt. I need more money. I am looking for money.”

Portable, who has built a reputation for his energetic and often chaotic persona, appears to be shifting gears in light of his legal battles.

Portable is credited with songs such as ‘Zazu Zeh’, ‘Tony Montana ft. Skepta, ‘Adimula’ ,etc.
