Former Manchester United and Everton English striker Wayne Rooney has called on the United board to bring back David De Gea this summer. It is not news that current goalkeeper Andre Onana has not impressed the club since his arrival and he has often been a scapegoat for United fans.
Many have called for him to leave the club and be replaced ahead of the new season as the majority of fans have lost patience with him. Speaking with some news men Rooney said that he will be delighted to have De Gea replace Onana as Man United number one.

According to him, he said: “I’d sign David de Gea back. I think Manchester United have missed him and I think he would do an amazing job.” David de Gea spent 12 seasons with United, where he won the Premier League once and United’s Player of the Season award on four occasions, matching Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes’ record.
The ex United star also adviced the club to sign Nigerian international Victor Osimhen to solve the attacking problem. Manchester United initially made contact with the Nigerian but it seems the player is waiting for United to make it to the Champions League by beating Tottenham.
